Early in the mornin'
Rise to meet the sun
Work so hard to feed your wife
No time to show her lovin'
And in the madness of the evenin'
With diamonds in your hand
Came home an hour early
Caught her with another man

It's always somethin'
Before the late night
Around the corner
There's always somethin' waitin' for ya
Can't hold the hands back
Can't make the sun rise
It's always somethin'
You know it's always somethin'

On your way back home again
A Good Samaritan
You see a man stuck in the rain
Stranded with no friends and
From the goodness of your heart
You saved him from the flood
A couple miles down the road
He's covered in your blood

It's always somethin'
Before the late night
Around the corner
There's always somethin' waitin' for ya
Can't hold the hands back
Can't make the sun rise
It's always somethin'
You know it's always somethin'

Moving around you never see it comin'
Burned by the light you though that you were runnin'
Blinded again, you're floatin like a feather
Why can't you see you can't control the weather?

Sometimes I caught myself
Lookin' in the mirror
With my eyeballs out
And I'm lookin' at the fear
In the bottom of the drain
Saw it growin' like a plant
But it never worked out
The way I wrote it in my hands
I tried, I tried, I tried, decide, decide, decide...

It's always somethin'
Before the late night
Around the corner
There's always somethin' waitin' for ya

Can't hold the hands back
Can't make the sun rise
It's always somethin'
You know it's always somethin'
You know it's always somethin'
You know it's always somethin'.

This fear has me chilled down to the bone
And I have been haunted by these things I still have left to say
I'm weary of fighting this alone
So tired of holding on to strings much better left to fray

And I said
Hear me now here and now I'm calling
Memories wear me down
And this seems so complicated
When all I want is just the truth

I'm wilted and faded after all
Too strung out and burnt out to be half the man that I could be
I'll never belong inside your world
So black out the sun and leave me to play out the same old tragedy

And I said
Hear me now here and now I'm calling
Memories wear me out
And this seems too complicated
When all I want is just the truth

Hear me now here and now I'm calling
Memories wear me out
And this seems too complicated
When all I want is just the truth

You're my savior after all
Use your flame to guide me home
And then lay your hand on me

And I said
Hear me now here and now I'm calling
Memories wear me down
And this seems so complicated
When all I want is just the truth

Hear me now here and now I'm calling
Memories wear me out
And this seems too complicated
When all I want is a part of you.

This song from The Lumineers is called "Stubborn Love" is a song I love and so will you............

Group and Song Facts:

The Lumineers are an American folk rock band, based in Denver, Colorado. The core band consists of singer Wesley Schultz on guitar, Jeremiah Fraites on drums, and Neyla Pekarek on cello and vocals. Two fulltime touring members are added for tours.[1][2] Their self-titled debut album was released on Dualtone Records on April 3, 2012, peaking at number 8 on the Billboard 200 chart. As of December 2012, their debut album has been certified gold in the US, Canada and Ireland.

In the spring of 2005, Wesley Schultz and Jeremiah Fraites began to collaborate, writing together and playing gigs around New York. Originally based in Ramsey, New Jersey, they later moved to New York City. After battling the city's cutthroat music scene and high cost of living, the two decided to expand their horizons. They packed everything they owned—nothing more than a couple suitcases of clothes and a trailer full of musical instruments—and headed for Denver, Colorado. It was there they met Neyla Pekarek after posting a Craigslist ad for a cellist.[3] They started to perform shows in small venues like the 100 capacity Meadowlark [4] around Denver, writing songs, and eventually recording several songs in Jer's attic. In the Spring of 2011, they signed a management deal with Onto Entertainment managers Christen Greene and David Meinert, after the two saw a video on YouTube of the band playing their future hit single "Ho Hey" in a small apartment. Onto fronted the band money to record a full length album in Seattle at Bear Creek Studio with producer Ryan Hadlock (mixed in LA by Kevin Augunas at Fairfax Studio).

"Where most bands these days look for that new, original sound to enhance the digital revolution, 'The Lumineers' do superbly in taking it back to simplicity."

On December 5, 2012, The Lumineers were nominated for two Grammy awards for Best New Artist and Best Americana Album.

She'll lie and steal and cheat,
and beg you from her knees.
Makes you thinks she means it this time
She'll tear a hole in you,
the one you can't repair
But I still love her, I don't really care

When we were young,
Oh oh, we did enough
When it got cold,
Ooh ooh, we bundled up
I can't be told,
Ah ah it can't be done

It's better to feel pain, than nothing at all
The opposite of love's indifference
So pay attention now,
I'm standing on your porch screaming out
And I won't leave until you come downstairs

So keep your head up, keep your love
Keep your head up, my love
Keep your head up, my love
Keep your head up, keep your love

And I don't blame ya dear
For running like you did, all these years
I would do the same, your best believe
And the highway signs say we're close,
But I don't read those things anymore
I never trusted my own eyes

When we were young
Oh oh, we did enough
When it got cold,
Ooh ooh we bundled up
I can't be told,
Ah ah, can't be done

Keep your head up, keep your love
Keep your head up, my love
Keep your head up, my love
Keep your head up, keep your love

Head up, love
Head up, love
Head up, love

This song from The Wallflowers is called "One Headlight" is a song I love and so will you............

Group and Song Facts:

The Wallflowers is a rock band from Los Angeles, California, fronted by Jakob Dylan. Formed in 1989[1] and originally known as The Apples, the ensemble has gone through numerous personnel changes but focuses on Dylan, Rami Jaffee and Greg Richling.

They have released five studio albums, one compilation album and have had various songs on television and movie soundtracks. They have won two Grammy awards for Best Rock Performance by a Duo or Group with Vocal and Best Rock Song for their song "One Headlight" in 1998.

"6th Avenue Heartache" is a song by the band The Wallflowers, and was the first single from their 1996 album Bringing Down the Horse. The single was released in summer 1996, and became their first hit, peaking at #8 on the Modern Rock Tracks chart, #10 on the Mainstream Rock Tracks chart, and #33 on the Hot 100 Airplay chart. Though the song was a hit on rock radio, it was overshadowed by its follow-up single, "One Headlight."

Jakob Dylan: "I tend to write with a lot of metaphors and images, so people take them literally. The song's meaning is all in the first verse. It's about the death of ideas. The first verse says, 'The death of the long broken arm of human law.' At times, it seems like there
should be a code among human beings that is about respect and appreciation. I wasn't feeling like there was much support outside the group putting together the record. In the chorus, it says, 'C'mon try a little.' I didn't need everything to get through, I could still get
through - meaning 'one headlight."

So long ago, I don't remember when
That's when they say I lost my only friend
Well they said she died easy of a broken heart disease
As I listened through the cemetery trees

I seen the sun comin' up at the funeral at dawn
The long broken arm of human law
Now it always seemed such a waste
She always had a pretty face
So I wondered how she hung around this place

[сhorus:]
Hey, come on try a little
Nothing is forever
There's got to be something better than
In the middle
But me & Cinderella
We put it all together
We can drive it home
With one headlight

She said it's cold
It feels like Independence Day
And I can't break away from this parade
But there's got to be an opening
Somewhere here in front of me
Through this maze of ugliness and greed
And I seen the sun up ahead
At the county line bridge
Sayin' all there's good and nothingness is dead
We'll run until she's out of breath
She ran until there's nothin' left
She hit the end-it's just her window ledge

[chorus]

Well this place is old
It feels just like a beat up truck
I turn the engine, but the engine doesn't turn
Well it smells of cheap wine & cigarettes
This place is always such a mess
Sometimes I think I'd like to watch it burn
I'm so alone, and I feel just like somebody else
Man, I ain't changed, but I know I ain't the same
But somewhere here in between the city walls of dyin' dreams
I think her death it must be killin' me

[chorus].

I've been here before and I don't like it
I'm trying to find where I went wrong
'Cause I never want to feel the way I do right now ever again
Totally lost and all alone

Can you save me
Can you save me from myself
Cause I lost it all again
And I think maybe
You're the one who can pull me out
Of the holes I always dig

I said it before and always mean it
I promised this time will be the last
'Cause just when I thought that I've come so far from who I used to be
There's no escaping from my past

Can you save me
Can you save me from myself
Cause I lost it all again
And I think maybe
You're the one who can pull me out
Of the holes I always dig

You're the one who can pull me out

One step forward
Two steps backward
One step forward
Two steps backward

Why
Do I do this to myself

Can you save me
Can you save me from myself
Cause I lost it all again
And I think maybe
You're the one who can pull me out
Of the holes I always dig.
