♥ ★ ☆ ♥ RIGS ROCKS WILL MAKE YOU JUMP, JUMP. A TRIBUTE TO CHRIS "MAC DADDY" KELLY. RIP. ♥ ☆ ★ ♥

Good day Everybody! Always bringing you the very best New Rock Music Videos available to you, right here right now on on your favorite game site, Game Desire.

This song from Kris Kross is called "Jump" is a song I love and so will you.......

Group and Song Facts:

Kris Kross was an American rap duo of the 1990s comprising Chris "Mac Daddy" Kelly and Chris "Daddy Mac" Smith. The duo was best known for their hit 1992 song "Jump", which was No. 1 on the Billboard Hot 100 for eight weeks and was certified double platinum as a single. Kris Kross was also noted for their fashion style, which consisted of wearing their clothing backwards. The duo sang the "Rugrats Rap" for Nickelodeon which was released as extras on some Nickelodeon VHS Tapes starting in 1994, and was finally released on CD on The Best of Nicktoons in 1998, and was released as an extra on the Rugrats: Decade in Diapers Collectors Edition DVD in 2002.

On May 1, 2013, Chris Kelly, was found unresponsive in his Atlanta home. Kelly was pronounced dead around 5 pm on the south campus of the Atlanta Medical Center. He was 34 years old.[5] According to a police report, Kelly's mother told authorities her son became sick after taking cocaine and heroin the night before he died.[6]

Kris Kross's members were only 12 and 13 years old when they recorded their hit song. "Jump" was written and produced by Jermaine Dupri. "Jump" was the fastest selling single in fifteen years and stayed on top of the Billboard Hot 100 for eight weeks. Kris Kross's debut album Totally Krossed Out, which features "Jump", sold over four million copies. It also reached number one on the charts in Australia and New Zealand, and number 2 in the United Kingdom, held off the top by KWS' cover song "Please Don't Go". This song kept En Vogue's "My Lovin' (You're Never Gonna Get It)" from the top spot on the Billboard Hot 100, in which the song peaked at number 2. At the time of its eight-week run, it was the longest running No. 1 since The Police's "Every Breath You Take" spent eight weeks at No. 1 in the summer of 1983.

It ranked number 75 on "VH1's 100 Greatest Songs of the 90's", and number two on their "Child Stars" Top 10 list.

In 1992, “Jump” was nearly impossible to escape. The debut single from 1990s rap duo Kris Kross was light-years from becoming a go-to crowd mover for party DJ’s when it cemented its place in pop history.

It was a remarkable feat considering Chris "Mac Daddy" Kelly, who died Wednesday at age 34, and Chris "Daddy Mac" Smith hadn’t even yet brushed puberty when a barely legal Jermaine Dupri discovered them in an Atlanta mall.

Dupri's vision was simple: a kid rap group. But it was the execution of "Jump," and most of their debut, that was brilliant. He tightly weaved oft-sampled funk standards from the Honey Drippers (“Impeach the President”), Ohio Players (“Funky Worm”) and the Jackson 5 classic “I Want You Back” over innocuous rhymes he penned.

This song from The Strokes is called "Last Night" is a song I love and so will you.......

Group and Song Facts:

The Strokes are an American rock band from New York City, consisting of Julian Casablancas (lead vocals), Nick Valensi (guitar, backing vocals), Albert Hammond, Jr. (guitar, backing vocals), Nikolai Fraiture (bass guitar) and Fabrizio Moretti (drums, percussion).

Upon the release of their debut album Is This It in 2001, the group met wide critical acclaim.[4] Since then, the band has maintained a fan base in New York City and elsewhere in the United States, the United Kingdom, Argentina, Ireland, Canada, France, Brazil and Australia[citation needed]. A number of members have embarked on a variety of side projects, though they regrouped for a fifth album, entitled Comedown Machine, released on March 26, 2013.[5] They are one of the many indie-rock bands to hail from the US at the dawn of the 21st century and helped augment the garage rock revival movement. Their debut album, Is This It, was ranked number 199 on Rolling Stone's 500 Greatest Albums of All Time.

"Last Nite" is a song by the garage rock band The Strokes, released as the second single from their debut album, Is This It.

In March 2005, Q placed "Last Nite" at number 66 in its list of the 100 Greatest Guitar Tracks. In September 2006, NME placed "Last Nite" at number one on its list of the 50 Greatest Tracks of the Decade. In May 2007, NME magazine placed "Last Nite" at number nine in its list of the 50 Greatest Indie Anthems Ever. It was also placed at number 16 on Rolling Stone's 50 Best Songs of the Decade and number 478 on its list of "The 500 Greatest Songs of All Time". In 2011, NME placed it at number 4 on its list "150 Best Tracks of the Past 15 Years".[1]

The first song to get much radio play for The Strokes, this is about a guy who leaves his girlfriend after she tells him she feels upset because he doesn't care about her. He then starts to get depressed and question his choices.

British music magazine NME placed Is This It in first place in their list of the albums of the decade. Strokes frontman Julian Casablancas said of the award: "It's totally crazy! I don't know what that means. Does it mean it's a good musical decade or a bad musical decade? I don't know, I'm such a bad judge of my own stuff. But I thought it was great when I heard.

Recording the album was fun, it was stressing, it was exciting. I think if I was to know then that I'd be having this conversation now I couldn't be more pleased. I'm restraining myself now, I don't want to get carried away, but I'm pretty damn psyched with myself. Mental high five!"

Last night, she said:
"Oh, baby, I feel so down.
Oh it turns me off,
When I feel left out"

So I walked out:
"Oh, baby, don't care no more
I know this for sure,
I'm walkin' out that door"

Well, I've been in town for just about fifteen minutes now
And Baby, I feel so down
And I don't know why
I keep walkin' for miles

See, people they don't understand
No, girlfriends, they can't understand
Your Grandsons, they won't understand
On top of this, I ain't ever gonna understand...

Last night, she said:
"Oh, baby, don't feel so down.
Oh, it turns me off,
When I feel left out"

So I, I turn 'round:
"Oh, baby, gonna be alright"
It was a great big lie
'Cause I left that night, yeah

Oh, people they don't understand
No, girlfriends, they won't understand
In spaceships, they won't understand
And me, I ain't ever gonna understand...

Last night, she said:
"Oh, baby, I feel so down.
See, it turns me off,
When I feel left out"

So I, I turn 'round:
"Oh, little girl, I don't care no more.
I know this for sure,
I'm walking out that door," yeah.

This song from Bon Jovi is called "What About Now" is a song I love and so will you.......

Group and Song Facts:

Bon Jovi is an American rock band from Sayreville, New Jersey. Formed in 1983, Bon Jovi consists of lead singer and namesake Jon Bon Jovi (John Francis Bongiovi, Jr.), guitarist Richie Sambora, keyboardist David Bryan, and drummer Tico Torres.[1] The band's lineup has remained mostly static during its history, the only exception being the 1994 dismissal of bass player Alec John Such, who was unofficially replaced by Hugh McDonald. In 1986, Bon Jovi achieved widespread global recognition with their third album, Slippery When Wet.[2] The band's fourth album, New Jersey was equally successful in 1988, and between 1986—1995, Bon Jovi had 13 U.S. Top 40 hits, including four number-one songs on the Billboard Hot 100: "You Give Love a Bad Name", "Livin' on a Prayer", "Bad Medicine", and "I'll Be There for You".

Other Top 10 record chart hits included "Wanted Dead or Alive", "Born to Be My Baby", "Lay Your Hands on Me", "Bed of Roses" and "Always". The success of Bon Jovi's 2000 single, "It's My Life", helped introduce them to a younger audience, as has the use of different styles in their music, such as the appearance of country in 2007's Lost Highway. Lost Highway debuted at number one on the Billboard 200, as did 2009's The Circle. Bon Jovi's latest album, What About Now, was released on March 12, 2013.[3] Thus far, Bon Jovi has released 12 studio albums, plus three compilations and two live albums. They have sold 130 million records worldwide,[4] and performed more than 2,700 concerts in over 50 countries for more than 35 million fans.[5] Bon Jovi was inducted into the UK Music Hall of Fame in 2006.[6] The band was also honored with the Award of Merit at the American Music Awards in 2004,[7] and as songwriters and collaborators, Jon Bon Jovi and Richie Sambora were inducted into Songwriters Hall of Fame in 2009.

What About Now is the twelfth studio album by rock band Bon Jovi. Produced by John Shanks, the album was released on March 8, 2013 in Australia and March 12, 2013 in the United States.[3] The album will be promoted throughout the band's 2013–2014 Because We Can: The Tour.[4] The album debuted at #1 in the U.S., where it sold 101,000 copies in its first week debuting at #1 on the Billboard 200. What About Now became their third album in a row to hit #1 in US after The Circle and Lost Highway and their fifth #1 album during their career.[5] As of 14th April 2013, the album has sold over 600,000 copies worldwide.

The album & single is called "What About Now"

You wanna start a fire?
It only takes a spark
You gotta get behind the wheel?
If you ever wanna drive that car

If you wanna take a bite
You'd better have the teeth
If you're gonna take that step
Get up off from your knees
'Cause tonight, you're alive

Who stand for the restless?
And the lonely?, For the desperate?, And the hungry?
Down for the count I'm hearing you now
For the faithful, the believer
For the faceless and the teacher
Stand up and be proud... What about now?

You wanna start a fight?
You gotta take the swing
Gotta get your hands in the dirt
To see what the harvest will bring

You wanna raise your voice?
Don't be scared to breathe
Don't be afraid to hurt
Don't ashamed in need
'Cause tonight, you're alive

Who stand for the restless?
And the lonely?, For the desperate?, And the hungry?
Down for the count I'm hearing you now
For the faithful, the believer
For the faceless and the teacher
Stand up and be proud... What about now?

Believe for that reason that dream through the seasons
'Till dreams are just fade dark and grey
And all of your plans that slip out through your hands
Are the dreams that you take to your grave
Tonight, you're alive

Who stand for the restless?
And the lonely?, For the desperate?, And the hungry?
Down for the count I'm hearing you now
For the faithful, the believer
For the faceless and the teacher
Stand up and be proud... What about now?

This song from Coldplay is called "The Scientist " is a song I love and so will you.......

Group and Song Facts:

The band has won a number of music awards throughout their career, including eight Brit Awards—winning Best British Group three times, five MTV Video Music Awards, and seven Grammy Awards from twenty five nominations. Coldplay have sold over 60 million records worldwide.[10][11] In December 2009, Rolling Stone readers voted the group the fourth-best artist of the 2000s.[12]

"The Scientist" is the second single from British alternative rock band Coldplay's second album, A Rush of Blood to the Head. The song was written collaboratively by all the band members for the album. It is built around a piano ballad, with its lyrics telling the story about a man's desire to love and an apology. The song was released in the United Kingdom as the second single from A Rush of Blood to the Head and reached number 10 in the UK Charts. It was released in the United States as the third single and reached number 18 on Billboard's Modern Rock Tracks.

Critics were highly positive towards "The Scientist" and praised the song's piano ballad and falsetto. Several remixes of the track exist, and its riff has been widely sampled. The single's music video won three MTV Music Video Awards, for the video's use of reverse narrative. The song was also featured on the band's 2003 live album Live 2003 and has been a permanent fixture in the band's live set lists since 2002.

This song is about a scientist who is so caught up in his work that he neglects his girlfriend, but realizes it eventually and wants to "go back to the start" and begin fresh.

The music video shows lead singer Chris Martin driving with his girlfriend. They get into an accident, she goes flying through the windshield and dies. Chris just walks out of the car, out of the forest, and into a city. This is all backwards. The video was shot normal direction and then played backwards, while Chris sang the lyrics to the song backwards.

Chris Martin (from Rolling Stone July 14, 2005): "On the second album I was thinking there was something missing. I was in this really dark room in Liverpool, and there was a piano so old and out of tune. I really wanted to try and work out the George Harrison song 'Isn't It A Pity,' but I couldn't. Then this song came out at once. I said, 'Can you turn on the recorder?' The first time I sung it is what's out there."

Coldplay performed this song at the 2003 Video Music Awards. They were introduced by Justin Timberlake, who is a close friend of lead singer Chris Martin and credits Coldplay as "The best band in the world."

In a track-by-track reveal Martin explained the development of the song: "That's just about girls. It's weird that whatever else is on your mind, whether it's the downfall of global economics or terrible environmental troubles, the thing that always gets you most is when you fancy someone."

Come up to meet you, tell you i'm sorry
You don't know how lovely you are
I had to find you, tell you i need you
Tell you i set you apart

Tell me your secrets and ask me your questions
Oh, let's to back to the start
Running in circles, coming up tails
Heads on a science apart

Nobody said it was easy
It's such a shame for us to part
Nobody said it was easy
No one ever said it would be this hard
Oh, take me back to the start

I was just guessing at numbers and figures
Pulling the puzzles apart
Questions of science, science and progess
Do not speak as loud as my heart

But tell me you love me, come back and haunt me
Oh and i rush to the start
Running in circles, chasing our tails
Coming back as we are

Nobody said it was easy
Oh, it's such a shame for us to part
Nobody said it was easy
No one ever said it would be so hard
I'm going back to the start

Oh ooh, ooh ooh ooh ooh
Ah ooh, ooh ooh ooh ooh

This song from Teddy Pendergrass is called "Turn Off The Lights" is a song I love and so will you.......

Group and Song Facts:

Theodore DeReese "Teddy" Pendergrass (March 26, 1950[1] – January 13, 2010)[2] was an American R&B/soul singer and songwriter. Pendergrass first rose to fame as lead singer of Harold Melvin & the Blue Notes in the 1970s before a successful solo career at the end of the decade. In 1982, he was severely injured in an auto accident in Philadelphia, resulting in his being paralyzed from the waist down. After his injury, he founded the Teddy Pendergrass Alliance, a foundation that helps those with spinal cord injuries. Pendergrass commemorated 25 years of living after his spinal cord injury with star filled event, 'Teddy 25 - A Celebration of Life' at Philadelphia's Kimmel Center. His last performance was on a PBS special at Atlantic City's Borgata Casino in November 2008.

"Turn Off The Lights" was a hit for R&B crooner Teddy Pendergrass, released as a single on June 23, 1979. Released from his hit album, Teddy, the song hit #48 on the Pop charts and #2 on the R&B charts.[1] The song was also a b-side single with "If You Know Like I Know." The song was sampled in "I'm Not Havin' It" by MC Lyte and Positive and "Shots" by 9th Wonder featuring Big Dho, Sean Price and Rapsody.

Regarded as one of Pendergrass' famous "bedroom ballads" at the time among R&B audiences as well as adult contemporary audiences, the song involves the narrator who gently tells his mate to "turn off the lights" in order for both to enjoy the intimate pleasures. He then transitions his vocal inflection to a rougher singing style and utilizes this command sentence: "TURN 'EM OFF!" [2] "Turn Off the Lights" was produced by Gamble and Huff.

On March 18, 1982, in the East Falls section of Philadelphia on Lincoln Drive near Rittenhouse Street, Pendergrass was involved in an automobile accident. He lost control of his Rolls-Royce Silver Spirit - the car hit a guard rail, crossed into the opposite traffic lane, and hit two trees. Pendergrass and his passenger, Tenika Watson, a transsexual nightclub performer with whom Pendergrass was acquainted, were trapped in the wreckage for 45 minutes. While Watson walked away from the accident with minor injuries, Pendergrass suffered a spinal cord injury, leaving him a paraplegic, paralyzed from the chest down.[4][5]

On June 5, 2009, Pendergrass underwent successful surgery for colon cancer and recovered to return home. A few weeks later he returned to the hospital with respiratory issues. After seven months, he died of respiratory failure on January 13, 2010, at age 59 with wife Joan by his side, while hospitalized at Bryn Mawr Hospital in suburban Philadelphia.[12] He was survived by his mother Ida, wife Joan, three children; Tisha, Teddy II, LaDonna, stepdaughters Sherilla Leftrade, Jessica Avila and four grandchildren and three step-grandchildren.

Turn off the lights and light a candle
Tonight I'm in a romantic mood, yeah

Let's take a shower, shower together, yeah
I'll wash your body and you'll wash mine, yeah
Rub me down in some hot oils, baby, yeah
And I'll do the same thing to you

Just turn off the lights, come to me
Girl, I wanna give you a special treat, you're so sweet
Turn off the lights and let's get cozy
See, you're the only one in the world that I need

I wanna love you, love you all over, yeah
Over and over and over and over and over and over and over and over again
Whisper sweet words of love in your ear
Show you I much I missed you, missed you, my dear

Turn 'em off and come to me
Tonight, I'm in a sexy mood, baby
And light a candle
Girl, there's something that I-I wanna do to you, I wanna do, I wanna do to you, baby

Would you mind if I asked you to
Would you rub me down
Would you rub me down in some, in some burnin' hot oils, baby, yeah
I swear I can do the same thing, the same thing to you, baby

Turn 'em off and let's get cozy
I wanna give you a special treat, you've been so sweet
Turn 'em off and come closer
You're the only one in this whole wide world that I'd ever need

Turn 'em off and light a candle
You see, there's somethin' I, somethin' I, somethin' I, somethin' I
Somethin' I wanna do to you, baby

I'm lyin' here waitin', my dear
You can get what you want any time you want it
I'm lyin' here waitin', my dear
Come get what you need, give me what I need

Tell me what you wanna do (There's somethin' I)
Tell me what you wanna do, babe
(There's somethin' I, somethin' I wanna do to you, baby)
Tell me what you wanna do (Yeah)
Tell me what you wanna do, babe (Yes)

Tell me what you wanna do (I've got somethin' in my mind)
Tell me what you wanna do, babe
(Somethin' that I've been wantin' to do all the time, yeah, yes
Tell me what you wanna do (I wanna give you a special treat)
Tell me what you wanna do, babe ('Cause you've been so sweet, yeah, yes)

(Anything that you want, anything that you need, I got it, I got it)
Tell me what you wanna do (I can do it)
Tell me what you wanna do, babe (I'm willin')
Tell me what you wanna do
Tell me what you wanna do, babe (I'm willin' to try).
